Don't let go: the performer holds onto the top of a tightly bolted, flexible pole, hanging hangs several meters above the ground. She moves slowly and of course she never lets go. Well, she does with one hand. She swings herself up, almost in slow motion and lays still across the bar, suspended, motionless in a fragile balance where the slightest movements become visible, become a living sculpture that slowly and steadily changes shape, floating seemingly free from the constraints of gravity.
The artist Chloe Moglia interprets the classical repertoire of trapeze art in her own unique way: instead of being dynamic, she is minimalistic. The result is artistry that no longer blinds you, but rather opens your eyes.
