Documentaries

Two documentary films of about 20 minutes complete the cirqu' program; they are dedicated to two artists who have been part of the festival over the past few years: Claudio Stellato and Julian Vogel.

«About Claudio Stellato» showcases the working methods of multidisciplinary artist Claudio Stellato and his partner Matthieu Delangle. Experimenting and researching at their creative retreat in France for a new piece, the two offer a witty and illuminating glimpse into their working methods. The film was made in 2021. Stellato was part of the cirqu' in 2017 with his woodbending cronies and in 2021 he joined us with his kamikaze arts and crafts troupe.

«About Julian Vogel and his objects» accompanies the artist Julian Vogel, juggling with ceramic diabolos, to the Netherlands and to France, where he prepares one of his exhibitions and tries to influence people with his almost philosophical approach to circus art. Julian Vogel collaborates with Roman Müller, the artistic director of cirqu', and was present at the last three cirqu’ festivals with various pieces of his "China Series".
