SRF names cirqu’ one of the Theatre Highlights of 2025

SRF chose Hamlet at Theater Basel, The Little Mermaid – A Fluid Fairy Fantasy at Schauspielhaus Zürich, Is That All There Is at Kaserne Basel, and the cirqu’ Festival in Aarau as its theatre highlights of 2025.

«Circus is magic, poetry, spectacle, and so much more. Every few years, the cirqu’ Festival transforms Aarau’s old town into a vast circus arena, showcasing contemporary international circus arts. For its tenth edition, the festival captivated audiences with a mystical underwater concert. In the heart of the city park, four musicians performed inside aquarium-like structures on specially adapted instruments including a violin, an organ and drums, while singing without producing air bubbles. It was an unforgettable sonic experience that enchanted audiences of all ages and left them in awe.»
